About this Service
The Archaeology Server will provide teaching and research with new means for publication and collaboration. It is open to all archaeology departments and projects at the University of Tuebingen. Co-operation with other persons and institutions is desired. It is the aim of this service to keep and preserve large bodies of data safely and make them available to different groups of users.
A database presenting results of archaeobotanical research. Information on plant remains from archaeological excavations can be searched according to subject, site, or date. Searches and presentation of results on maps are also possibles.
Archaeometallurgy
The aim of this project is to provide online access to the world's largest database of results from physical and chemical analysis of archaeological metal finds.
These pages will host archives, post-excavation analysis and publication of results from ongoing excavations at Troia (Troy).
At present access to the online-resources of the research project is possible for co-operators only.

Gemeinsame Ressourcen
Distribution maps, bibliographies, image databases, specialist encyclopedias - many topics are relevant to more than just one project or department. All kinds of proposals for collaboration on common resources of this kind are welcome. Projects
like Open Source software development or Wikipedias have shown that the internet has potential for new types of co-operative work.
